WHAT IS A C10 VISA?

The C10 Visa is an official visitor visa designed for foreign nationals attending seminars, conferences, exhibitions, or other MICE activities in Indonesia. This visa allows foreigners to stay for up to 60 days (extendable to 180 days), and to visit tourist attractions and meet with friends or family during their stay. C10 visa holders may receive honoraria but are not permitted to be formally employed.

The C10 Visa is a single-entry visitor visa to Indonesia, granted to foreign nationals attending official activities such as:

  1. Seminars, conferences, and workshops
  2. Exhibitions, expos, and product launches
  3. MICE events (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, Exhibitions) by official invitation

This visa also allows foreign nationals to:

  1. Travel and explore various destinations in Indonesia
  2. Visit family or friends
  3. Receive honorarium or compensation from attended events (without formal employment)


LEGAL BASIS

Government Regulation (PP) Number 40 of 2023 constitutes the fourth amendment to Government Regulation Number 31 of 2013 concerning the Implementing Regulations of Law Number 6 of 2011 on Immigration, which comprehensively regulates the technical and administrative implementation of immigration in Indonesia.

PURPOSE OF THE REGULATION

The primary purpose of this regulation is to provide technical and operational details of the provisions outlined in the Immigration Law, including regulations on visas, residence permits, and immigration procedures. Additionally, it aims to ensure legal certainty.


C10 VISA REGULATIONS FOR MICE DELEGATES IN INDONESIA

The C10 Visa is intended for foreign nationals who have official interests in internationally scaled activities. Parties included in this category comprise speakers or panelists at international conferences, participants in global trade shows or expos, representatives from companies, as well as official foreign guests attending MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition) events.


WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR A C10 VISA?

The C10 Visa is intended for foreign nationals who have official interests in internationally scaled activities.


DURATION OF STAY

The C10 visa allows an initial stay of 60 (sixty) days and can be extended up to a maximum of 180 (one hundred eighty) days or 6 (six) months. The extension process must be handled by the sponsoring company or guarantor through the official Immigration portal.


C10 VISA APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

The C10 visa application must be submitted by a legally registered company in Indonesia acting as the sponsor or guarantor. Required documents include:

  1. Application letter and statement letter from the sponsoring company
  2. Official invitation letter from the event committee
  3. Valid passport (minimum 6 months validity)
  4. Proof of financial means (minimum USD 2,000 for the past 3 months)
  5. Round-trip ticket or onward flight ticket
  6. Recent color photo 4x6 cm

If using a non-national travel document (e.g. laissez passer, emergency passport), a Re-Entry Permit to the country of origin must be attached.


C10 VISA APPLICATION PROCESS

  1. Sponsor registers and logs in to immigration portal
  2. Upload the required documents
  3. The processing and issuance of the C10 visa generally takes 7 to 14 working days


TYPES OF VISAS IN INDONESIA AND THEIR PURPOSES

  1. C10: Official events: seminars, conferences, workshops, exhibitions, MICE
  2. Visa on Arrival (VOA): Permits eligible nationals to stay in the country for tourism purposes for a maximum duration of 30 days
  3. C1–C9: General visits (tourism, family, business, social, journalism, short-term education)
  4. D1–D2: Limited stay visas: for work, study, investment, relocation, retirement
  5. B211A: Social, business, volunteer, tourist visits (single-entry, max. 180 days with extensions)
  6. Golden Visa (E33): For investors or exceptional talents, longer stay periods
