The 7th Indonesia-China Energy Forum (ICEF), organized by Indonesia’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR), took place at the luxurious Bali InterContinental Jimbaran, bringing together approximately 300 delegates from both governments and key energy sector stakeholders. As a flagship event aimed at deepening collaboration between Indonesia and China, ICEF focused on pressing topics such as the development of renewable energy, innovative energy technologies, investment opportunities, and energy policies to support long-term economic sustainability. The forum was officially opened by Indonesia’s Minister of MEMR, H.E. Bahlil Lahadalia, S.E., who highlighted the crucial role of downstreaming natural resources to maximize the value of domestic products, a process that relies heavily on reliable electricity energy. Minister Lahadalia extended an invitation to investors, including from China, to explore opportunities in Indonesia’s energy sector, infrastructure, and sustainable technologies, with a firm commitment to transparency in all investment endeavors. A key feature of the event was an exhibition showcasing cutting-edge renewable energy solutions and mineral resources, designed to drive sustainable energy practices and strengthen industry partnerships. The forum concluded with an unforgettable gala dinner, complete with traditional Balinese dance performances and live music, offering attendees a unique cultural experience while reinforcing the spirit of collaboration and innovation between Indonesia and China in the energy sector.
