CLEAN ENERGY MINISTERIAL SENIOR OFFICIALS MEETING AND MISSION INNOVATION ANNUAL CONFERENCE

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) of the Republic of Indonesia recently hosted the prestigious Clean Energy Ministerial Senior Officials Meeting and Mission Innovation Annual Gathering (CEM & MI) at The Mulia Resort, Nusa Dua, Bali. This high-profile event welcomed 250 delegates from 30 nations, including major players like Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Korea, Russia, the UK, and the US. At the heart of the event, Indonesia reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to driving the clean energy transition by championing inclusive and equitable access for all. H.E. Dadan Kusdiana, Secretary General of the MEMR, underscored the necessity of ensuring universal access to electricity and clean cooking solutions while highlighting the vital role of international collaboration in accelerating progress. Indonesia and Australia took center stage, leading impactful ministerial dialogues aimed at fast-tracking the global transition to clean energy. These discussions emphasized the power of cross-border partnerships in building a sustainable, green future. Special focus was given to channeling investments and strengthening capacity in developing countries, ensuring the benefits of clean energy are shared equitably worldwide. The event’s resounding success was attributed to the leadership of Mr. Jean-François Gagné, Head of the Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) Secretariat, and Mr. David Higgins, Branch Head of Australia’s International Net Zero Pathways Branch, who played pivotal roles in steering the agenda toward actionable outcomes.
